      ONLINE Music Mini-Courses at Children's Chorus of MD

      Children’s Chorus of Maryland welcomes your child to join our choristers for an array of Mini-Courses offered four Saturdays this fall: 10/17, 10/31, 11/14, and 12/2. Please choose ONE course topic for all four classes. Contact us at ccm@ccmsings.org to register. Tuition is $75 for all four classes. See details below!

      TREBLE CHOIR: Ages 7-10 / 8:30 – 9:15 AM. Choose ONE Topic: I Like to Move It, MOVE IT! – Musical movement with our Zumba certified music teacher! / The Best of CCM Treble Choir Games! - The best of music readiness singing and movement games from our first three levels of our musicianship curriculum. / The Composer is YOU! - An introduction to creating your own song.

      LYRIC CHOIR: Ages 11- 13 / 9:30 – 10:15 AM. Choose ONE Topic: The Masked Singer - Obtain vocal skills as you work on a solo over the course of the 4 sessions, with anonymity. Then, at the end try to guess who in your group is singing what! Mask that hides your identity but allows you to sing required. / Introduction to Composition/Songwriting - Learn and practice the basics of composition in order to create your own original piece of music. Also explore accompanying your singing with basic piano chords.

      CONCERT CHOIR: Ages 14 -17 / 10:30 – 11:15 AM. Choose ONE Topic: Conducting! - Discover your inner maestro. / Even YOU Can UKE - Access to a ukulele needed. / Composition & Songwriting - Combine knowledge of theory with improvisation skills to create an original composition. Prior experience with music reading and theory required. / The (optionally masked) Singer - Obtain vocal skills as you work on a solo over the course of the four sessions, with anonymity or not. Mask that allows you to sing is optional.
