The Howard Hughes Corporation Is Hosting Ice Skating Rink & Holiday Activities in Downtown Columbia starting November 21


WHAT The Merriweather District® of Downtown Columbia, MD, in partnership with Howard Hughes Corporation® (NYSE: HHC) will host the inaugural Color Burst Park Ice Skating Rink.

Beginning November 21 through the end of January 2021, the rink will feature socially-distanced outdoor ice skating as well as festive holiday decor and activations with local businesses. These include a hot chocolate and marshmallow pop-up with The Chamery, a coffee pop-up with Busboys & Poets, as well as exclusive deals with Clove + Cardamom, CURED, Union Jacks and Sushi Sono.

Ice skating will be available daily at the times listed below for 75-minute sessions for the ticket price of $14 (which includes the fee and rental). Tickets are required and guests are strongly encouraged to purchase in advance their visit.

In order to make sure the fun is as safe and enjoyable for everyone, Merriweather District will operate the rink at 50 percent capacity, 90 people at a time, and implement rigorous sanitization measures including one-way crowd management, hand-sanitizing stations, hourly facility cleanings, contact tracing, and double skate sanitization before and after use.
